perception of perdition

in the hour of darkness
the moment I feared has come
the moment I lost my faith
promising salvation?

my soul is my own
I do not fight for you

today marks the day
I lose my faith in humanity
all my hopes of life
my hopes of love and honesty

time to leave the insufferable race
of greeding, breeding imbeciles
who call themselves man

you may have raised me
I may be part of your flesh
but I shall not be part of your ploy
nor will I regard you as brethren
