perception of perdition

pushing me away
you confided in the enemy
having things your way
perception of insecurity

naive, immature, imperfect
failing to think, to act
always first into the fire
losing yourself in desire

fool, blind! how could you not see
the truth, the lies,
the things that you stole from me
selfish, unrelenting, always pretending

again! you lie, this time you try
your feelings are but a memory
faking your love for me
all I see

hypocrite!

you pledge to set things right when you return
little did you know, your foolish ambitions
convincing everyone of your success and difficulties
always looking to escape reality, imagination

till the day you return
I'll be waiting, never fading
for the once opportunity
to crush the dreams, the reality you're evading

till then.
